Helen Elizabeth Towler

Helen Elizabeth Towler, age 96 of Chatham, Virginia passed away Friday, August 23, 2024 at Gretna Health and Rehabilitation Center. Ms. Towler was born January 18, 1928 in Pittsylvania County to the late Irene Bowen Towler and the late Percy Towler.

She was a member of Greenpond Baptist Church, and worked 57 years at Chatham Knitting Mill until her retirement. She will always be remembered as a kind and loving grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to everyone that knew her.

She is survived by her grandson, Brian Reynolds, and his wife Katie; and her great-grandson, Brian Reynolds, Jr.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her beloved daughter, Debbie Jean Reynolds; her son-in-law, Oliver B. Reynolds; her sister, Catherine T. Gibson; and her brother-in-law, Harry Ray Gibson.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Greenpond Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Charlie Ryan officiating.
