Helen Marie Haynes Higgins

Helen Marie Haynes Higgins, age 97, of Clifton Forge passed peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father on January 4, 2024, at Lewis Gale Alleghany in Low Moor.

Ms. Higgins was born, November 8, 1926, in Lewisburg, WVA, and was preceded in death by her parents, the late John Lewis Haynes and Anita Glover Haynes; her husband, Chalmer L. Higgins, three sisters; three brothers; and one granddaughter, Shelly H. Hodgen.

Surviving is one daughter, Linda (Ronnie) Hayslett of Clifton Forge; one son, Ronnie Higgins of Covington; a grandson, Stuart Hayslett; one granddaughter, Kathy Higgins of Covington; six great granddaughters and three great great granddaughters, several nieces and nephews including Carla Haynes Dobbs of Clifton Forge.

Helen was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

In keeping with her wishes her body will be cremated and a service will be held later.
