Helen Maxine Hicks

Helen Maxine Sarver Hicks, 62, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at her home. She was the daughter of the late John and Delphia Sarver. She was also preceded in death by her brother Johnny Sarver and her sisters Shelia Hagy, Dorothy Carroll, and twin sister Darlene Stevens.

Maxine was a Christian and believed her calling was to care for animals. She spent her career as a care giver and laborer. She enjoyed going on motorcycle rides and spending time at the beach or lake; but her family was her greatest love and pride. She was always the light of a room and loved to make others happy.

She will be missed and remembered by her daughters, Tammy Reyes and Shelia Draffen; son, Brian Goble; grandchildren, Desiree’, Christian, Paco, and Bradley; great grandchild, Kayson; loving sister, Linda Stamper and loving brother, Luke Sarver; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Valley Word Church with Pastor Jerome Mullins officiating. The family will speak to guests following the service at the church.
