Helen Taylor Wilks

Helen Taylor Wilks, 90, widow of William A. Wilks, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Luther and Lucille Sarver Taylor. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Everett Taylor.

Helen’s memory will live on in her sons, Randall W. Wilks (Kimberly) and Darrell L. Wilks (Terri); grandchildren, Nathan Wilks and Jacob Wilks; step-grandchildren, Brian Arthur and Christina Hale; sister, Linda Taylor.

Services to honor her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, with Pastor Kevin Cummings officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Road, Roanoke, VA 24018.
