Howard "Red" Junior Edwards
Mr. Howard Junior Edwards (RED) born April 23, 1933 in Carroll County to the late George Washington and Rhoda McMillian Edwards, joined his beloved wife Dorothy (DOT) in Heaven on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Left to celebrate his reunion with family are his son, Randy H. Edwards and his wife Annalisa Edwards, his grandson Josh Edwards and his wife Keshia Edwards, their children Layla Kate, Myles and Neely Grace, his granddaughter Charity Mostafa and her children Isaiah, Jude and her husband Khalil, sister-in-law Daisy Edwards, and family member Jeff Edwards. In addition to his parents and wife, Red was preceded in death by his brothers, James Edwards and Ray Edwards as well as his sister Barbara Edwards and daughter in law Sandra Dee Edwards.
Howard was a devoted and loving dad, as well as papa. He served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years, setting a great example of work ethic, morals, integrity, and inspiration to all of those who knew him. He was an avid golfer who had a couple of hole in ones, and shot his age in his seventies and eighties. Howard was a veteran of the Korean War and retired by dissolving his box making business called Mount Airy Packaging.
