Inez Wimbush

Mrs. Inez Saunders Wimbush, 86, of Martinsville, VA transitioned on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at her home.  She was born November 29, 1937, in Pittsylvania County, VA a daughter of the late Gordon and Flossie Miller Saunders, Sr.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wimbush, Sr.

She was a retired domestic worker and the former co-owner of Wimbush Janitorial Services.

Inez was a faithful member of Moral Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served as past president of the Missionary Ministry,  Mass Choir, Sunday School Teacher, Pastor's Aide and the Culinary ministry.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Annette Bey, of Danville, VA; and Dr. Flossie Pamela Wimbush, of Sacramento, CA; one son, Dr. James Wimbush. Jr, of Indianapolis, IN; one sister, Flossie R. Eddy, of Palmyra, VA; and one granddaughter, Tamela L. Wimbush, of Sacramento, CA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11:00AM at Moral Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Waddell Jones, officiating.  Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens.  A public viewing will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 from 1:00 to 7:00 PM with the family present from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and will be at the home at 1044 Stoney Mountain Road, Martinsville, VA at other times.
