Iris Turner Toney

Our dear mother, Iris Turner Toney, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the age of 86. Iris was full of love, kindness and joy. She touched the lives of all who knew her. Iris loved the holidays and cooking for her family. She was a member of Penhook United Methodist Church, Scruggs Volunteer Fire and Rescue and was also an officer for the election polls for years. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Toney; parents, Jeff and Eva Jones Turner; brother, Donald W. Turner; special cousins, Terry and Doris Hall, John Ed and Pat Turner. Surviving are her special sons, Ricky (Melissa) Toney and Eric Toney; grandchildren, Amanda, Adam and Caitlyn; four great-grandchildren, Gavin, Ava, Molly and Sage; three bonus grandchildren, Nikki, Bubba and Megan; three bonus great-grandchildren, Haley, Mackenzie and Gus; one niece, Sabrina Turner (Gwynn); one nephew, Steve Stone (Susan); sister-in-law, Patsy Elliott (Jim); her faithful fur baby, Lucy; many cousins and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 with Steve Pasley, Minster officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
