Isaac Lester Banks

Mr. Isaac Lester Banks, age 86 of Stuart, VA passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Twin Ridge Regional Hospital in Galax, VA. He was born in Laurel Fork, VA on December 9, 1939, to the late Avery Marshall Banks and Elsie Gertrude Webb Banks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Carlene Charnock, Maxene Fix, and Thelma Morris; one brother, Thomas Banks. Mr. Banks was a member of Middle Cross Missionary Baptist Church, he served faithfully in the United States Air Force. He retired as an owner-operator in the trucking industry, and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather to his family. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Bunn Banks of the home; three children, Marshall Banks (Jeanne), Selina Angle (Michael), and Garland Banks (Lynn); four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Reed Island Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Michael Morrison and Pastor Marshall Banks officiating.
