In Loving Memory of Iva Lee HutsonWith heavy hearts, we announce the passing of the sweetest soul, Iva Lee Hutson, age 79, who passed away on April 13th. She was a beloved mama, cherished mother-in-law, devoted mawmaw, loving sister, and dear friend to so many. She was a woman whose love knew no bounds. As a mama, she gave her whole heart, always putting her family first and making sure everyone felt safe, cherished, and deeply loved. As a mother-in-law, she welcomed others as her own, offering unwavering kindness, support, and unconditional love. She leaves behind her loving sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Kirsten Hutson and Dwayne and Stefanie Hutson, who will forever carry her love with them. Her role as mawmaw was one she treasured most. Her grandchildren, Meagan (Samuel) Harris, Silas (Kayla) Hutson, Lane Hutson, Charley Grace Hutson, Sadie Lee Hutson, and Brannon Gage France, were her pride and joy. She also leaves behind her precious great-grandchildren, Callan Harris, Coleson Harris, and Statler Hutson, who brought her endless happiness. As a sister, she is lovingly remembered by Tammy Sands, along with several special nieces and nephews who held a dear place in her heart. As a friend, she was a constant—someone you could always count on, lean on, and laugh with. She had a gentle spirit, a compassionate heart, and a special way of making everyone feel seen and loved. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength that will continue to live on in all who knew her. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her love will never fade. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Junior Hutson; sister, Joyce Childers; brothers, James and Gary Penley; parents, Silas and Pearl Barnes Penley. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 2:00 PM at West Side Baptist Church with service conducted by Rev. Steve Johnson, Rev. Jason Johnson, and Rev. Keith Foster. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time for the service.
