Sue died on January 25, 2026 in her daughter's home. Sue was originally from Pennsylvania and moved to Covington in her mid-teens. She graduated from Covington High School and Radford University with a degree in nursing. Sue was married to her high school sweetheart, William A. Potter, until his death in May of 2025. Funeral arrangements are incomplete due to weather conditions.
