Iviyan T. Dandridge

Iviyan T. Dandridge, 19, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024. She was born on January 26, 2005, in Eden, North Carolina to Terris Tewane Dandridge and Adriane Monique Joyce. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Roderick Mitchell.

Iviyan graduated from Magna Vista High School in 2023 and held a certification as a Nursing Assistant. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Fieldale, Virginia. Iviyan had a passion for sports, particularly basketball, and enjoyed online shopping. Driving anywhere brought her joy, and she cherished capturing moments through photography, mostly selfies. She shared a deep love for the Dallas Cowboys, a passion she inherited from her father. She loved to cook, Iviyan's favorite dish to prepare was macaroni and cheese. Her caring nature extended to taking care of others, and she cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her granny, Joann, and her little sister, Nor.

Iviyan is survived by her father, Terris Tewane Dandridge; her mother, Adriane Monique Joyce (Ron); three brothers, Dezbee McDaniel, Salas Keen, and Ron Joyce Jr.; two sisters, Jazmin McDaniel (DJ) and Nor Joyce; one stepsister, Keyona Joyce; one stepbrother, Jalyn Joyce; parental grandparents, Juanita Dalton and Wayne Dandridge; maternal grandparents, Joann Mitchell and Ricky Mitchell; nephews, Daron Pittman III and Dysear Pittman; five aunts, Jasmine Dandridge, Christina France (Jay), Alexis Heavner, Ashley Heavner, and Aubrey Stone; one uncle, Ricardo Mitchell (Tootie); her fur baby, Kane; and a host of other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Greater International Pentecostal Holiness Church at 12:00 Noon, with Pastor Benjamin Redd officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
