Jack Curtis Williams

April 23, 1929 - March 6, 2024

Mr. Jack Curtis Williams, 94, of Danville, VA, passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at his home in Pittsylvania County. Jack was born on April 23, 1929, in Grayson County, VA to the late Jay Mack Williams and the late Hattie Mae Neely.

Jack served in the U. S. Army with the 45th Infantry Division from 1951 – 1953. He attended college for two years and worked for Dan River, Inc. for many years after his Army service. He enjoyed family, golfing, hunting, and woodworking. He could build or fix anything. PaPa Jack will be missed.

Survivors left to remember Jack include his two daughters, Jackie Minter (Dennis) and Diane Sheperd, grandchildren, Karen Early, Michelle Dodson, Nichole Gregory, and Melissa Childress, as well as eight great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by two daughters, Donna Hyler and Betty Wilmoth, as well as three sisters, Pansy Liner, Maxie Highsmith, and Sylvia Hodges.
