James Aaron Campbell

James Aaron Campbell, 37, fiancé of Whitney Roberts, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at his home. He was born in Roanoke and was the son of Kenneth L. and Alice Macy Campbell, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jackie Lee Macy; paternal grandparents, Nathaniel and Bernice Fuller Campbell; aunts, Teresa Macy and Helen Jacobs; father-in-law, Paul Michael Roberts; step father-in-law, Chip Garst; Whitney’s grandparents, Eugene D. and Shirley Smith.

In addition to his fiancé, Whitney Roberts, and his parents, Kenneth and Alice Campbell, Sr., he will be missed and remembered by his children, Natalie Campbell and Ella Campbell; sister, Jackie Fesperman her husband Tony and their children, Jossie Campbell, Arieanna Campbell, Ayden Fesperman, and Keelyn Fesperman; brother, Kenneth L. Campbell, Jr and his children, Keiley Campbell and Braden Campbell; sister, Christy Christensen and her husband Kyle and their children, Gabbie Christensen, Noah Christensen, Lizzy Christensen and Owen Christensen; sister, Taylor Brunner and her husband Kyle and their children, Peyton Brunner and Greyson Brunner; mother-in-law, Connie Garst; Whitney’s grandmother, Beverly C. Roberts; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family and friends too many to mention.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 :00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road.
