James Alvin Carter

James Alvin Carter “Moochie”r, 73, of Stuart, Va passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection. He was born in Patrick County, Virginia on February 4, 1953 to the late Willie Alvin Carter and Beatrice Webster France. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sister, Nancy Pride, two brothers, Benny Carter and Michael Joe Carter.

He worked for the town of Stuart and and anyone who needed help. Moochie was happiest being out door.

Surviving. nephews: Leon Carter (Rebecca), Chris Pride, James Pride (Jessica), Jimmy Pride (Monica), Chris Lamb, Willie Lamb (Renee),Michael Hairston. nieces, Tiffany Dillon, Sarah Dillon, Lynn Hatcher, several great nieces and nephews. Thank you to caregivers Nekeyda Wimbush, Erica Turner, family, friends and Richard Spencer (Karen).

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Black Jack Cemetery at 2:00 pm with Pastor Richard Spencer.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:45 to 1:30 pm at Norris Chapel in Stuart.
