James Christopher Hunt

James Christopher Hunt, 59, of Roanoke, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. He was preceded in death by his father, James Charles Hunt.

Chris is survived by his mother, Elizabeth “Bayah” Hunt; daughter, Haley Hunt (Austin Logan); son, Jason Patsel (Sydney Capito); granddaughter, Marley Jo Capito Patsel; aunt, Sharon Dingus (David); best friends, Harry Cannady (Angela) and Billy Wood (Tamar); special pet, Gumbo; grand pets, Beluga, Finn, and Baloo; and numerous other loved ones.

Chris was a loving father and son. He loved the people and pets around him unconditionally. He was known for his sense of humor, having multiple inside jokes with his family.

Hobbies included: Golfing with Pop-Pop, rooting for Tennessee Vols, and spending time with family.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Respecting Chris’s wishes, there will be no services.
