James David Reed

James David Reed of Fincastle, Virginia passed away peacefully February 25, 2026. He was 70. He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Judy Reed; brother, Stephen Reed; and stepson, Michael Zarobinski.

He is survived by wife, Bridget; daughter, Erica; step children, Edward (Becky), Nichole (DJ), Susan (Eric); grandchildren, Brent, Josilyn, Edward, Amara, Jessika, Zane and Maggie; brothers, Roger and John (Michelle); niece, Jessica; nephews, Jimmy (Amanda), John (McKenna), Zack (Elena); plus extended loving family and lifelong friends.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Daleville on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 10:00 am at Church of the Transfiguration in Fincastle with Father Zaverio "Xavier" Banasula officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

A special thank you to Dr Robert Keeley. We will all miss you terribly David as you were loved so much. Rest easy.
