James Donald Brown
James Donald Brown, 62, passed away on October 18, 2024.
A native of Virginia he was the husband of the late Linda Kay Brown and son of James Herman Brown and Edna Lucille Waller Brown, both deceased. James was also preceded in death by his sister, Debra Ann Brown. He worked for 30 years as an asphalt technician for McNeil Asphalt Maintenance and worked the last few years in the lumber yard at Ideal Building Supply. James loved the Pittsburg Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He also loved riding his motorcycle and listening to rock and heavy metal music. James had a dog named gunner and a cat named Iris which were his whole world.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Michelle Brown and fiancé Eddie Ramirez and Crystal Whorley and husband Randy Whorley, Jr.; six grandchildren, James Brown, Sage Brown and fiancé Logan Shumate, Seth Critzer, Taylor Whorley, Ava Whorley, and Ryan Whorley; two great grandchildren, Indica-Shea and Leilani Shumate; and he was also loved by many other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held in Sherwood Memorial Park on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11:00 am with Pastor Ben Lockhart officiating.
