James "Jimmie" Earl Foster

James “Jimmie” Earl Foster, 82, of Danville, VA passed away on May 17, 2023. He was born on March 1, 1941in Pittsylvania County to the late Ethel Robinson Dalton Foster and the late L.C. Crenshaw Foster. He is survived by his loving wife Jean Adkins Foster of sixty two years.
Jimmie was of the Christian faith. He had a special love for fishing and hunting and he retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 28 years of service as a tire builder.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter; Kimberly D. Foster of Danville, VA., brother; Stewart Foster, sisters; Edith Spraker, Mary Loftis, Joan Deel, special niece; Julie Carlisle and husband Ken of Danville, VA., special sister in-law; Barbara Holley and many friends, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son; Darryl James Foster, two brothers; Johnnie Foster and Leonard Foster, sister; Juanita Barrett.

A funeral will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 2:00PM at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel Danville, VA with Pastor Stephen White and Pastor Mike Hearp officiating.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00PM at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel Danville, VA. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence of his niece Julie Carlisle, 900 Mt. Hermon Circle, Danville, VA on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 12:00 noon to 6:00PM.

Interment will follow at Swansonville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Westover Hills Pentecostal Holiness Church 71 Vandola Road Danville, VA 24541.
