James Leonard Clark

James Leonard Clark, age 86 of Bassett, VA, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

He was born on December 28, 1938 to Leonard Clark and Gracie Adams Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mildred “Judy” Clark, four sisters; Velvie Byrd, Marie Philpott, Bonnie Hall and Dorothy Hypes, one brother, Cleonard Clark. James was the founder and CEO of Clark Construction Co., Inc. located in Bassett, VA.

Mr. Clark is survived by one daughter, Brigette Clark, two sons; Wally Clark (Rachel) and Rocky Clark (Joyce), two grandsons; Aaron Clark (Sheena) and Blake Matthews, three great grandchildren; Parker Clark, Zander Clark and Carver Clark.

All services will be private. A Celebration of Life Service will be at a later date.
