James Michael Wingfield

James Michael Wingfield, 59, of Stuart, Virginia, died on February 12, 2023, at his home. He was born September 26, 1963, in Martinsville, Virginia, to James L. and Ruth Ann Wingfield. In addition to his father, James L. Wingfield, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Homer and Cordie Lawrence, and his paternal grandparents, Ivan James and Mattie Wingfield.
Mike was a hardworking man dedicated to his family and his dogs. He loved all things fitness and was happiest with the wind hitting his face while enjoying his Harley Davidson Road King. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, making many of his memories in the outdoors.
Mike is survived by his mother, Ruth Ann Wingfield of Martinsville; his wife, Angela Wingfield; daughter, Saidie Wingfield, of the home; stepdaughter, Casey Adkins (Curtis) of Stuart; and a stepson Jamie Adkins (Crystal) of Ridgeway. Also left to cherish his memories are brothers, Marvin Wingfield (Catherine) and Mark Wingfield (Robin), both of Martinsville; his sisters, Kaye Harrell (Perk) of Bassett, Faye Agee of Martinsville, and Brenda Reed (David) of Charlotte, N.C., as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his dogs.
A memorial service will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Clearview Gospel Mission, 504 Clearview Drive Martinsville, Virginia, with Pastor Susan Adkins presiding.
