James Russell Gauldin

James Russell Gauldin, 78, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026. James was born in Danville, VA on January 29, 1948 to the late Margaret Brandon Gauldin and the late James Gauldin. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Brenda Brown Gauldin.

James was of the Christian Faith. He retired from Dan River Mills Inc. after many years of service, and later worked as a welder for Amthor International. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by a daughter; Judith Ann Green; a brother; Buddy Gauldin; four sisters; Ann Barbour, Becky Byrd, Wanda Kidd, and Deanna Horsley; a grandson; Levi Green; and a grand daughter; Camden Green.

In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by a sister; Francis Arelene Fulton.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 11:00am – 12:00pm Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA.

Military Honors to be conducted by American Legion Post 1097 Danville VA.
