James Thomas Taylor

James Thomas Taylor, Jr., 75, of Danville, Virginia, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024. He was born September 23, 1948, in Danville, Virginia, to the late James Thomas Taylor, Sr. and Gracie Mae Taylor.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister; five brothers; and one great- grandchild.James loved Harley Davidson and rode up until he couldn’t anymore. He enjoyed tinkering with cars, loved hotrods, and older cars as well.He is survived by his wife, Joyce Bray Taylor; daughters, Christine Taylor (Shon), Candy Kay Martinez, and Jamie Moore; stepdaughters, Melissa Elliott (Nikki and Taylor) and Crystal Bray; son, James Taylor III; brother, Joe Taylor (Linda); eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and his loyal riding buddy, dog, Ruby Ann “Pookie”.The family would like to give a special thanks to Tim Bowman for his help in James’ later days.The family will be having a private service at a later date.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
