Janes Lewis Brown

James Lewis Brown, 77, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born June 18, 1945, in Moneta, Virginia to the late Thomas Scott Brown and Hazel Jordan Brown. He was a member of Reach Out Apostolic Tabernacle and had worked as a truck driver for Old Dominion Freighting for over twenty years.

He was a Deacon of the church, worked at the food bank and enjoyed joking and having fun.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond Brown, Robert Brown and Alton Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Hodge Brown; daughters, Theresa Davis (Keith), Sharon Brown, Joyce Adams and Antoinette Brown; son, James Andrew Brown; brother, Glenn Brown and a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 1:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park. A floating visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 12:00 P. M. to 5:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
