Janet Earhart Amos

Janet Cecile Earhart Amos, 81 of Salem, formerly of Vinton, passed on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Elmyra Callahan Earhart, and her infant son, Boyd Edward Amos.

Janet was a 1961 graduate of William Byrd High School and retired from Kroger. She was a gifted musician and cook. She was a loving mother to Jacquelyn P. Amos, and Kaye Williams (Gary), who survive her. She is also survived by her sisters Carol Earhart and Tina Earhart.

A graveside service will be held at the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery, 200 Mount Pleasant Road, Wytheville, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2 p.m. with Jeff Callahan officiating.
