Janet Kidd

Janet Gail Kidd, age 75, of Covington, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at her residence. She was the wife of William Kidd to whom she was married to for fifty-seven years.
Janet was born November 10, 1948 in Buena Vista, VA, the daughter of the late George T. Chittum and Allena Montgomery Chittum. She was a founding member of Grace United Bible Church and a former member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
In addition to her husband, William, she is survived by two sons, David W. Kidd and wife, Alisha, Joshua T. Kidd and wife, Wendy, all of Covington; four grandsons, Anthony A. Kidd and wife, Sabrina of St. Albans, WV, Ryan D. Kidd and fiancé, Emily Phillips of Covington, Logan G. Kidd and partner, Daniel Vandeberg of Roanoke, Andrew D. Kidd and fiancé Hannah Jarrell of Covington; nine great -grandchildren, Journey Kidd, Annabella Holliday, Landon Kidd, Sophia Kidd, Aria Kidd, Clayton Kidd, Carter Kidd, Luca Kidd and Grayson Kidd; a sister, Marie (Rita)h Deguzman and one brother, John Chittum, both of Covington.
In addition her parents, Mrs. Kidd was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren Lee and Barry Chittum and a sister, Jean Shinault.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 5, 2024, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Freddie Bonds officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
