Janet May Carman

Janet May Caman, 72, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Sovah Health – Martinsville. She was born on December 14, 1951, in Boonton, New Jersey, to the late Harry Elwood Carman and Beatrice Virginia Carman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Elwood Carman Jr. and Robert Alvin Carman.

Janet retired from Rock Ten as a packer.

Janet is survived by her brother, Barry Lee Carman; and sister Geor-gianna Ellen Sulter (Stephane W. Sulter) and the Curtis family. Although Janet never had children, she had many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all that loved her and cherished her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel at 4:00pm.
