Jay "Paul" Harrison

Jay “Paul” Harrison, Jr., 85, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025. He was born November 26, 1939, in Alleghany County, Virginia, to the late Jay Paul Harrison, Sr. and Evelyn B. Morris Harrison.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Suzanne Harrison and stepson, John “Buzzy” Duff.

Paul was a train hobbyist, and an avid John Deere fan. He loved to be outside gardening and caring for the yard. He was an antique collector. Paul loved making people laugh. He loved his grandchildren dearly, bringing them all kinds of gifts on his many delivery routes.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Myrtle Sue Bishop Harrison; son, Steve Harrison (Anne); sister, Nina Rea (Ted); grandchildren, Lurinda Harrison (Brandon), Benjamin Harrison, Andrew Harrison, and John Caleb Duff; great-grandchildren, Noah Duff, Noel Duff, Bailey Harrison, and Nathan LaPrade; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

All Services will be private.
