Jeannie Francis Martin

Jeannie Francis Martin, 82, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 6, 1942, in Roanoke, Virginia, to the late Lance Hubbard and Edna Belcher Hubbard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Henry Dehart Sr., second husband, Johnny Martin; and seven sisters, Catherine Hubbard, Annie Epperson, Doris Roullard, Ethel Francis Dubose, Neda Gay Sparks, Ruby Mae Harvey, Marggie Ann Scofield, and Jackie Haggy.

Jeannie was a devoted member of Stanleytown Amazing Grace Baptist Church and had a warm, caring spirit. Her love for her children and grandchildren was immeasurable, and she cherished spending time with her grandbabies. Known for her honesty, Jeannie had a passion for dancing, adored Elvis, and had a deep affection for horses. Her laughter was contagious, and she brought joy to everyone around her.

She is survived by her son, Henry “Hank” Dehart (Sandy); one stepson, Mark Martin (Diana); four grandchildren, Devyn Dehart (Brianna), Samantha Martin, Corey Martin (Cori), Cara Helbert; and one brother, Willis Hubbard (Nan); and two sisters, Kay Farmer (Ben) and Bonnie Stephens.

The visitation will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stanleytown Amazing Grace Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Stanleytown Amazing Grace Baptist Church with Pastors Greg Hodges & Mike Hatfield officiating. The burial will follow at Woolwine United Methodist Church Cemetery.
