Jeffery Lynn Saunders
Elder Jeffery Lynn Saunders, born January 24, 1971, to Eugene Saunders and Susie Saunders, departed this life surrounded by the love and legacy of a life devoted to family, faith, and service.
Jeff was a devoted and loving son who dedicated much of his life to the care and well-being of his parents. He remained faithfully by their side, providing love, compassion, comfort, and unwavering devotion throughout the years. Caring for his parents was not simply something Jeffrey did—it was a reflection of the love he carried in his heart for his family.
Elder Jeff was also a faithful and dedicated member of First Christian Church in Stuart, Virginia, where he was appointed to serve as an Elder. He took great pride in serving his church and his church family. His commitment could often be seen in the simple acts of service he faithfully performed, including opening the doors of the church early on Sunday mornings and serving as a sound technician. Jeffrey's willingness to serve behind the scenes reflected the humility, dependability, and dedication that were such an important part of who he was.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Saunders; four brothers, Carl Saunders, Cornell Houston Saunders, Bernard Saunders, and James Saunders; and one sister, Angela Ziglar, and one nephew, Antwan Saunders.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his beloved mother, Susie Saunders; one brother, Bobby Saunders; three sisters, Sharon Saunders, Kimberly Turner (Otis), and Muriell Spencer (Johnnie); two sisters-in-law, Barbara Saunders (wife of the late Bernard Saunders) and Angelica Saunders (wife of the late James Saunders); along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, church family, and dear friends.
Jeff will be remembered for his loving heart, his devotion to his family, his commitment to his faith, and his willingness to serve others. His presence was a blessing to those who knew and loved him, and his legacy of love, faithfulness, and service will continue through the lives of those he touched.
