Jeffrey Alan Scott

Jeffrey Alan “Tinman” Scott, 69, of Gladys, VA passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026 at his home.

Born May, 24, 1956 in Lynchburg, VA, he was the son of the late Raymond Lawrence Scott, Jr. and Louise Martin Scott.

Jeff had a deep love for all things automotive, from model cars to Mopar and NASCAR. He also took great pride in his garden, which he nurtured with care and a true green thumb. Jeff generously shared both his plants and his harvest with others. He loved to cook, and some of his family’s most cherished memories are of him sharing recipes, grilling at home, and bringing everyone together to enjoy a meal.

Jeff leaves behind many members of his beloved family including his children, Jeffrey Alan Scott, Jr. (Jessica Bishop) , Alisa Nichole Gilbert (Shaun Cory) and Kenneth Scott (Katherine Jones); his five siblings, Lester Erle Scott (Kathy), Kathryn Scott Poe (Frank), Raymond Marty Scott (Regina), Gary Scott (Diane) and Justin Dean Scott, Sr.; and his two grandchildren, Jayla Kay-Ann Gilbert and Malakhi Luka-Layne Gilbert.
