Jenna Doyle
Jenna Leigh Doyle Honeycutt, age 45, of Salem, Virginia, died on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Stanford Medical Center, in Palo Alto, California. A native of Salem, Virginia, Jenna was born February 19, 1981, to Phyllis Hight Doyle and Bobby Allen Doyle, Jr. Jenna graduated from Salem High School, and received degrees from Emory & Henry College and the University of Tennessee. After a few years of teaching public school, Jenna turned her nurturing ways to making a home, growing a family, and caring for four-legged creatures. She was a refuge for children and animals, and well-known for bringing out the best in each life that she touched. Jenna could make a special occasion out of anything or nothing at all. She loved spending time at Piedmont Camp Meeting Grounds, at her family's farm, at any beach, and watching riding lessons at Breezy Rock Stables at Ardmore. Jenna was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Jim and Ginny Hight, and paternal grandparents, Bobby and Jean Doyle. Jenna will be missed always by her husband, John Honeycutt; her daughters, Anna Claire Honeycutt and Ellie Virginia Honeycutt, whom she loves in life and in death; and by her loving parents. She is also survived by her aunt, Mary (David) Roberson, their children, Josh (Ashley), Jarrod, and Elizabeth (John) Stephenson; uncle, Mickey Doyle, and his children Michael (Cindy) and Brittany (Ryon) Padgett; uncle, Ricky Doyle and his daughter, Cammi; and aunt, Patricia Frye and her son, Jason. Among other special family members are Beth, Brian, Jonathan, Matthew and Phoebe Graves. Old friends, Kristen, Aimee, Brooke, Tracy and Jayna share special memories of Jenna, Dwayne and Jill. New barn friends were dear to her, as well as the many other moms and teachers who have shown her girls love since her death. The family will receive friends at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, 305 Roanoke Blvd, Salem, Virginia, on November 5, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Grandin Court Baptist Church, on November 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Kevin Meadows officiating.
