Jennifer "Jenny" Luckado Saunders

Jennifer "Jenny" Luckado Saunders, 69, of Roanoke went to join her family and friends in heaven on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.  Among those waiting for her arrival were her father and mother, Clyde "Beck" and Judy Swanson Luckado; sisters, Cindy McCray, and Susie Mitchell; and a niece Julie Moore.

Jenny was a devoted wife mother and grandmother/memaw.  She loved the beach nautical decorations, gardening, and cooking.

Surviving is her husband of 41 years, Mike Saunders; daughter, Alison Saunders Lawrence; son, Chris Saunders; grandchildren, Gaven Saunders, Jude Lawrence, and Johnny Lawrence; numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nephews and great nieces; brother-in-law, Gary Mitchell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Kim Saunders; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marti and Brent Rodeck.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the SPCA.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  540 366 0707
