Jeremiah Aken

Jeremiah Nansen Aken, 50, of Wirtz, Viginia passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at home after a short illness.Born in Roanoke, VA, he was the son of Leonard Aken and the late Joyce Aken. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Gracie Rexrode.He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Ferrum College in 1997, and was a Financial Director.Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Rexrode Aken; father, Leonard Aken; brother, Joshua Aken; brother-in-law, Mark Rexrode; sister-in-law, Amy Rexrode; nephew, Aaron Aken; nieces, Katherine Aken, Bethany Rexrode, and Eden Rexrode.Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2026. His family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Furnace Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy be made to Gideons International (P.O.
