Jerene Keatts Nelson Ferrell

Jerene Keatts Nelson Ferrell of 523 Crestview Dr., Danville, Virginia went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, March 23, 2024. She was born February 13, 1938 in Danville, Virginia to the late Oscar Lee Keatts and the late Nora Nance Keatts.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Anderson, Donna Gibson (Charles), Lisa Rankin, and her stepdaughter, Annette Manning; one granddaughter, Jordan Burnett (Joshua); two great-grandchildren, Caroline Burnett, and Colton Burnett; and one brother, Albert Keatts.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, M. NealFerrell; sisters, Dorothy Evans, Barbara Lee, and Frances Shelton; and herbrothers, Leonard Keatts and Edward Keatts.

She was a member of North Main Baptist Church. She worked for Belk for 16 years in the Estee Lauder department.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Norris Funeral Services, Mt. Hermon Chapel, 3995 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, Virginia with Pastor Jason Barber and Pastor Robert Keatts officiating. A private interment will follow. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 am. The family will also receive friends Monday and Tuesday from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. at the residence.
