Jerry Lee Doyle

Jerry Lee Doyle, 75, of Penhook, Virginia, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026. He was born November 19, 1950, in Franklin County, Virginia to the late Henry Richard Doyle and Mary Virginia McMillan Doyle.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Jean Thompson and Shirley Dudley; brothers, Glen Dexter Doyle, Wesley Doyle, Gary Doyle, and Kenneth “Bud” Wayne Doyle.

Jerry was of the Christian faith and loved the Lord. He was self-employed as a logger, a profession he greatly enjoyed, and also worked for many years at Snow Creek Elementry School. Jerry was a devoted provider who deeply loved his family and cherished his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a caring man who enjoyed listening to gospel music and lived a life centered on faith, family, and hard work.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Lee Buffkin Doyle; daughter, Melanie Wagoner (Randy Shuff); son, Richard Doyle (Valerie); sister, Carol Shelton (Gary); brother, Curtis Doyle (Amy); sister-in-law, Joan Doyle; grandchildren, Sean Wagoner, Hailey Wagoner, Ryan Wagoner, DaKota Shuff, Owen Shuff, Christian Doyle (Lexus), Victor Doyle, and Celina Doyle; great- granddaughter, Crystal Rose Wagoner; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Although services are private, the family wishes to express their profound gratitude for all of the love, prayers, and many good deeds sent their way during this time of grief.
