Jessica Thompson

Jessica Mace Thompson, age 48, of 3324 Indian Draft Road, Millboro Virginia died Sunday, April 27, 2025 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Virginia.

She was born January 19, 1977 in Bath County, Virginia to Patsy Thompson of Clifton Forge and the late Larry Otis Mace. Jessica attended United Baptist Church in Covington. She was a store owner, enjoyed fishing, truck pulling, and sitting in her porch swing.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a sister, Donna Sue Mace Hepler; a nephew, Christopher Mace; and her step-father, Mike Hosey.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Anthony Thompson, Jr. of Millboro; a daughter, Emily Thompson of Millboro; a son, Tyler Thompson of Millboro; eight sisters; Christy Mace of Clifton Forge, Wilma Stogdale (George) of Hot Springs, Heather Reynolds (Robert) of Covington, Donna Corvin (David) of Cloverdale, Amanda Martin (Randy) of White Sulphur Springs, WV, Lynnora Shaver (T.J.) of Hot Springs, Natasha Barron (Chris) of Clifton Forge, and Nancy Crummett (Roy) of Hot Spings; two brothers, Billy Epperly (Jennifer) of Roanoke, and Larry “L.W.” Mace (Michelle) of Indiana; a step-sister, Pam Hosey; a step-brother, Mikey Hosey, Jr.; a father and mother in-law, Dale and Elizabeth Thompson; a brother in-law, Eric Thompson; a number of nieces and nephews; and her dog, Thumper.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Zach Royer officiating. Interment will follow in Windy Cove Cemetery, Millboro. Pallbearers will be Robert Reynolds II, Daniel Mace, Christy Mace, Leroy Meadows, Jr., Leo Huffman, Damon Madison, and Patrick Chestnut. The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 12:30 PM until the time of service.
