Jim Ellett

Jim Ellett, 74, of Stuart passed away on May 10, 2024 at Sovah Health in Martinsville, VA. He was born on July 2, 1948 in Massachusetts to the late Lillian Ellett and Eldridge Ellett.

He was in the United States Army during Vietnam War and served two tours and was wounded on the second tour. He was a Police officer in Miami, FL twelve years and was a member of the Masons. He then retired on disability.

Surviving are his wife Viola Ellett of the home, three daughters, Karen Gault of Columbia, SC, Monica Adams of Walterboro, SC, Robynn Linder of South Carolina, one son, James Ellett Jr of Miami, FL,, Step-Son, Shane Winslow, ten grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.

A funeral will be held on May 14, 2024 at 11:00 am at Norris Funeral Services Chapel in Stuart. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville, VA with Pastor Samuel Leonard officiating. Full Military honors will be presented by Martinsville and Henry County Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 am till 11:00am at Norris Chapel in Stuart.
