Jim "Jimmy" Butler
Jim “Jimmy” Butler, 60, passed away on September 25, 2024 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.
A native of Montgomery County, he was the husband of 20 years to Kimberly Stump Butler, who survives, and the son of the late Shirley Bentley Dickerson. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents and numerous aunts. Jimmy owned and operated his own trucks for many years. He also worked for several tanker companies hauling fuel. He was very mechanically inclined and could repair just about anything he put his mind to including tractor trailers, older vehicles, small engines, and home remodeling. Jimmy often spoke of growing up on a dairy farm with his grandparents. He always wanted to live a simple peaceful private life. Jimmy enjoyed searching for good buys on older cars, trucks, and motorcycles. He had been attending church at Calvary Baptist in Salem for the last several years with his wife.
In addition to his wife those left to cherish his memory are many family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Botetourt County Fire Department or Calvary Baptist Church in Salem.
Jimmy will be forever loved and missed.
