Jim West

Mr. Jim Emmett West, age 61, of Roanoke, died Friday, June 21, 2024, at Berkshire Health and Rehab Center, Vinton, VA. He was the husband of Edwina "Wendy" Persinger West.
Mr. West was born April 15, 1963 in Covington, the son of Lois Waggoner Callender and the late James Emmett West. During his working career, he was employed as a tow motor operator at the Advance Auto Warehouse. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing horseshoes in his spare time. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. West is survived by a stepson, Ricky Chittum of Covington; a stepdaughter, Trina Wolfe of Covington; a brother, Troy Cleve Wright of Roanoke; a sister, Michelle Tasker of Rocky Mount, VA; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 30, 2024, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Wright.
