Jodi Lynn Vasko Obituary Jodi Lynn Vasko, a dedicated, loyal, hardworking mother of two, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the age of 32.Jodi was born in Arizona on June 28, 1992. She graduated with a degree in Fundamentals of Welding. She was working toward a bachelor's degree in science while working full-time as an award-winning bartender. On January 3, 2020, and December 20, 2021, respectively, Jodi welcomed her beautiful sons, who were the most important part of her life.Jodi is survived by her parents, Lucinda and Tracy Bookman; her children's father, Adam Plunkett; her sons, Carter Ray and Theodore Bear Plunkett; and her siblings, Shelby and Marissa MacDonald (Aunt Shel and Aunt Rissa), Tyler Vasko (Uncle Bud), Jacob Bookman (Uncle Jake), and Kaylee and Nate Bayne (Aunt Ree and Uncle Nate).Jodi was an avid soccer player, coffee drinker, reader, and deep-sea fisher. However, she was known as a fierce momma bear above all else. She was independent, funny, strong-willed, creative, thoughtful, and dependable. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.Family members and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel located at 305 Roanoke Boulevard in Salem, Va.
