Joe Carroll Davis

Joe Carroll Davis, Jr., 79, of Ringgold, passed away on November 2, 2026, in Danville, Virginia. He was born in South Carolina on April 8, 1947, to the late Joe Carroll Davis, Sr. and Jean Wallace Alderson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Joe graduated from Danville Community College and served his community as a police officer in Danville for 40 years.

Joe is survived by his wife, Betty Mayhew Davis; a daughter Wendy Davis Newlin (Dave) of Graham, NC; sister Kelly Ostrowski (Charlie) of Arizona; a grandson David Newlin of Winston Salem, NC; great -grandson Graham Joseph Newlin.

A Memorial visitation will be held Saturday November 14, 2026, from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Norris Funeral Services, Mount Hermon Chapel.
