John B. Amos Jr.

John B. Amos Jr., 83, of Collinsville, VA. passed away Sunday, December 3rd, 2023, at Stanleytown Health and Rehab in Bassett VA. He was born on November 18th, 1940, in Martinsville to the late Johnny Amos Sr. and the late Lola Mae Amos Hodges. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters; Edna A. Cannady, Dorothy A. Washburn, Lorene A. Robertson, and Erma A. Williams.

John retired from Dupont in Martinsville.

He is survived by his son; David John Amos (Tonya), and daughters; Karen Amos Hawks (Clarence), sisters, Gloria Custer, and Barbara Goins, granddaughter; Jessica Nicole Amos, and great grandchildren; Ayden Morris, and Brandon Collins.

A memorial service will be held in honor of John Sunday, December 10th, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel, with Pastor David Deisher officiating.
