John "Jojo" Michael Eads
John Michael Eads, affectionately known as JoJo to his friends and family, departed this world on September 27, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on March 13, 1953, in Marion, Virginia, to the late Thomas Oscar Eads and Mary Horne Eads, JoJo's life was characterized by his jovial spirit, love for the outdoors, and dedication to his loved ones. He passed away peacefully in Pearisburg, Virginia, surrounded by the warmth of his family.
JoJo was a cherished husband to Charlotte Davis Eads, with whom he shared a life full of love and companionship. Together, they raised a family that includes their sons Michael Thomas Eads and Anthony Cory Eads, and their daughter Shana Brooke Eads. JoJo was a proud grandfather to Hartwell Tucker Hundley and Skylar Cory Eads, whose achievements and milestones brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his brother James Eads and his wife Misty, as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss his playful teasing and generous heart. His brother David Eads preceded him in death, and we are comforted by the thought of their reunion.
JoJo's professional life was spent at Celanese, where he was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to form lasting friendships with his colleagues. An avid outdoorsman, JoJo found solace and excitement in hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to immerse himself in the beauty of nature. His love for the land was evident in the way he tended to his farm, a testament to his hardworking nature and deep connection to the earth. JoJo's farm was not just a place of labor but a haven for family gatherings, storytelling, and shared experiences that will be fondly remembered by all who were a part of them.
Those who knew JoJo will recall his sense of humor and the ease with which he could bring laughter from a crowd. His ability to joke and make people laugh was a gift that he generously shared, bringing lightness to even the most ordinary of days. His presence was a source of joy and comfort, and his absence will be felt deeply by those who loved him.
As we bid farewell to JoJo, we celebrate a life well-lived – a life filled with laughter, love, and the pursuit of happiness. We find solace in the memories he leaves behind, the stories he told, and the legacy of kindness he imparted on us all. JoJo's spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, the smiles of his grandchildren, and the beauty of the natural world he so cherished.
There will be no services for JoJo at this time. A guestbook is available to send condolences to the family by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com. The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to serve the Eads family.
