Johnny Jones, 73, of Danville, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024. He was born April 10, 1951, in Alton, Virginia, to the late Willie Mae Jones.Johnny attended New Bethel of Alton, Virginia. He was a farmhand that worked on various farms. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing horseshoes.He is survived by his nieces, Clara Massaquoi (Aman), Wendy Davis (Marvin), Sharon Walton, and Amy Jones; nephews, Kelly Jones, Jessie Jones, Albert Jones, Joseph Jones, James Jones (Jameka); sister-in-law, Shirley Jones; aunt, Dorthy Jones; brother, Bert Ellis Jones of New Jersey.A memorial will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
