Joseph Cameron Whitlock

Joseph Cameron “JC” Whitlock, Jr., 74, of Salem passed away, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Cameron Whitlock, Sr. and Jessie Ruth Whitlock and nephew Travis Whitlock.  JC is survived by his wife, Sue Goad Whitlock, and his children, Yvette Duncan, Crystal Nation, Cynthia Whitlock Lichtenstein and Joseph Andrew Whitlock and wife Bekah; brother, Mitchell Whitlock and wife Teresa, sister-in-laws, Mrytle Clark and Ruby Ratcliffe; grandchildren, Josh Wheeling, Tommy Gillis, Tyler Conner, Reese Whitlock, Kellen Walthall, Gracie Walthall, Emma Ruth Lichtenstein and Joseph Michael Whitlock; as well as a niece Crystal Sumner and husband Geoff; and many dear cousins and special friends. 

JC was a journeyman, tool and dye maker at Gardner Denver and John C. Nordt.  He was known for being a strong family man.  He loved country life, enjoyed “hanging with boys”, hunting and fishing and collecting antiques.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home, with services following at 1 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Huntley officiating.  Interment will follow services at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.  Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home 540-389-9208.
