Joseph "Glenn" Barber

Joseph “Glenn” Barber, 76, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023. He was born in Danville, VA on April 5, 1947 to the late Margaret Chloe Stanfield Barber and the late Fletcher Hill Barber. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Debra Owen Barber.

Glenn was a member of North Danville Church of Christ. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, receiving numerous medals and awards for his service. He was a truck driver for Stewart Whitman Candy Company before his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by a brother; Fletcher “Buddy” H. Barber Jr. and wife Teresa of Ringgold, VA; a cousin; Allen Hudgins of Ringgold, VA; and a special nurse; JoAnna R. Smart who the family would like to thank for her care and service.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA officiated by Reverend Ryan Riley.
