Joseph Paquette

Joseph, “JoJo,” Harold Paquette, 62, of Christiansburg, passed away on April 22, 2025, at home with his loving wife. Joey was born in New Jersey on April 6, 1963. He was married to his loving wife, Barbara Vandyke, for 25 years. Joey was the owner and operator of Paquette Painting & More, where he worked as a skilled carpenter and painter. He took pride in his work and enjoyed working with homeowners throughout the New River Valley. Joey enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Vandyke; three stepchildren, Bobby Ray Vandyke, Serena Anderson, and Jake Vandyke; 10 grandchildren, Brandon, Makayla, KJ, Collin, Emily, Mason, Rylee, Landon, Jackson, Easton and Weston; one great-grandchild, Allison; his mother, Andrea Vaillancourt of New Jersey; brother Thomas Paquette, and sister Katherine Paquette. Joey is also survived by David and Kathy Vaughn of Fairlawn, Virginia. David and Kathy provided unconditional love and support throughout his life and was cherished by Joey as family. Joey was surrounded by a community of friends and family who brought joy and support to his life. His friendship and personality touched the life of many, and leaves behind a host of loved ones to celebrate the life he lived. Joey is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Paquette, and one grandchild, Abby. A private celebration of life will be held for friends and family.
