Joseph "Wayne" Napier

Joseph “Wayne” Napier, age 76, was born in Richmond April 1,1948 and passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at his home in Snow Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Booth Napier, Jr. and Eva Arnold Napier and his brother, Steve Napier.

Wayne was always seen out at breakfast or at the Thursday night service at Scotty’s. He was retired and loved Trinity Baptist Church where he was a deacon and devoted member. He spent a lot of time in the community helping those in need, helping with collections for God’s Pit Crew, and delivering meals of love to the sick. He loved music, racing, collectible cars, his many friends, his community, his pets and most of all The Lord and his family.

Wayne leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years, Sharon Napier, his children Shelly Boyd, Shane Boyd (Liz), and Sherry Lynch (Brian), his grandchildren, Caleb, Lydia and Finn, and his dear sisters Jean Childress and Deborah Gross, as well as his sweet pets, Daisy and Mia.

A visitation will be at Trinity Baptist Church Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Church, with Pastor Glen Stinnett officiating.

A meal at the church will follow the service.
