Joyce Kincer Potts

Joyce Anne Kincer Potts, 78, passed peacefully, on Monday, November 25, 2024, surrounded by her family. Joyce was born to Reed and Ruby Kincer on June 11, 1946, in Wytheville, VA. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister Maxine K. Hughes.

Joyce spent many years of her life working in the medical profession and was highly respected and adored by both her employers and her patients. Her first and foremost love and devotion, however, was to her family, and later in life, she left her career behind to focus on taking care of her home and family. She and her husband Tom both shared a passion for entertaining and playing and singing music together, often with family, cherished friends, and numerous other musicians.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband and one true love of 60 years of marriage, Tom Potts; daughter, DeAnna Potts, “adopted” daughter Stacie Campbell; and her nephew Jerry Reed and wife Lisa Reed.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Joyce’s name to a charity of your choice.
