Judie Franks Huff

Judie Franks Huff, 93, of Danville, VA passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023. She was born July 23, 1930, to the late Ernest Custer and the late Lena Rowland Custer.

Judie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially traveling and camping. She will be remembered as a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Judie retired from Danville Memorial Hospital where she was an ER Nurse.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam Ellis (David), Beverly Smith (Jeff), and Patricia Wimer (Alan); numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and brothers, John Custer, and Roy Custer (Pat).

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Chalmus Huff; sister, Agnes Roach; and brothers, Haywood Custer, and Percy Custer.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024, at North Danville Church of Christ, 219 Iris Lane, Danville, VA 24540 with Pastor Herschel Stone officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
